How My Performance-Based Marketing Works

What to Expect

This program must be mutually beneficial. Like any relationship, if it is working for both of us, we'll be together a long long time. What is unique is I take on the majority of the risk by working for free in the beginning, and betting on my own abilities to produce results. My guarantee is that you only pay me if I produce 5 times in revenue what I spend on ads. If I don't produce, I don't get paid.

Here’s exactly how my performance-based marketing program operates, in simple, straightforward terms:

  1. Initial Steps: You start by applying to become a client on my application page. If your application is accepted, I’ll invite you to a call where you can ask any questions and ensure we're a good fit for each other.
  2. Setting Up: Once we decide to move forward, you’ll give me access to necessary accounts, such as Google Analytics. You'll also set a monthly budget that works for you. This budget is prepaid and functions as a subscription, ensuring that we’re aligned from the start.
  3. Exit: You may exit at any time and cancel your subscription by letting me know you wish to do so.
  4. Fees: I operate differently from most marketing agencies—I don’t charge setup fees, monthly retainers, or the standard percentage of your advertising budget. Instead, I earn a share of revenue only if I generate more than 5 times the advertising spend in revenue in a given month. Review the revenue sharing fee structure.
  5. Transparency: The specifics of revenue from ad spend are tracked via your site, primarily through Google Analytics. In some cases, I might use a Google Ads conversion script for more precise data.
  6. Onboarding: Onboarding is straightforward—I get access, and I get to work. You are welcome to provide me with your existing marketing asset, but it is not necessary if you don't have them ready. There's no lengthy setup or complicated process. We'll clearly see how things are progressing within the first three months.
  7. Assessing Performance: It’s possible that achieving significant online revenue may be challenging depending on several factors like the industry or newness of the product. If it’s not working, it could be because your industry is tough for online purchases or your website needs some tweaks, which I will communicate clearly and may suggest a course of action for improving results.
  8. Monthly Reporting: Every month, you'll receive a report detailing how much was spent, the revenue generated, and our Return On Ad Spend (ROAS). If we hit a ROAS of 500% or more, I’ll invoice you for my services. If it’s 499% or less, you won’t receive a bill.
  9. Optional Services: While the core of my work is focused on performance marketing, you’re also welcome to hire me for additional coaching/consulting services such as Google Analytics help, Shopify account assistance, or SEO consulting. I have extensive experience developing and marketing our retail store's websites and am happy to help learn to do it yourself. I'm available by the hour on a prepaid basis. You just book a call with me and we get to work. This is not a requirement of participation in the performance-based marketing program, and is up to you whether you ever work with me in this way.
